The Fusion of Indian Classical Dances in Bali November 2023
Om Namah Shivaya! AKDA had an incredible and culturally enriching experience in Bali. The fusion of Indian classical dances like Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi with the lyrical poems of SivaPadam written by Brahmasri Saamavedam Shanmukha Sarma garu had a mesmerizing showcase of artistry and devotion.
It’s heartening to see the collaboration and support from various dignitaries, including the Chief Guest Shri Naveen Meghwal and the esteemed guests from ICCR and ISI Denpasar. The acknowledgment and recognition received, including the title “Naatya Saraswathi” and “Kala Poshak” speak volumes about the quality and impact of the performances.
The gratitude expressed to those who contributed to the success of the event, from coordination to organizing performances at significant venues like the Institut Seni Indonesia at Denpasar and the Saraswathi temple, reflects the importance of teamwork and community in promoting the arts. Building new relationships and connections, as well as sharing the beauty of Indian classical dance with a global audience, is a testament to the universality of art and its power to transcend boundaries. It’s a wonderful trip, not only artistically fulfilling but also a teaching moment for the students, emphasizing the collaborative effort required to bring such cultural exchanges to fruition.
The heartfelt thanks extended to everyone involved in organizing the trip and the memorable experiences shared, both on and off the stage, reflect the spirit of unity and camaraderie within the SivaPadam family and #Knowyourroots
May the journey of SivaPadam and #knowyourroots continue to inspire and create meaningful connections through the art of dance.
Thank you Vani Shanker garu and Krishnaveni Putrev Garu for the wonderful opportunity.
Om Namah Shivaya! 🙏
